Linux Conference 99: The First Philippine Open Source Conference will be held on
June 9 to 11 at the Shangri-La Hotel Manila. The three-day event will feature one-day tutorials, various tracks,
plenary sessions and exhibitions. Maximizing and applying Linux and other Open Source software to the Philippine
environment, solving multi-faceted programming and/or dilemmas through Linux and other Open Source Systems,
and finding an effective alternative OS especially during an economic crisis are this year's themes.
CEOs, CIOs, MIS managers, corporate decision makers and entrepreneurs, programmers, IT consultants,
technical specialists, sales and marketing managers, government officers, educators, and students
specializing in IT and programming are among the event's target audience and participants.
