Cyber Café Trivia

Cyber cafés are equated with what we call neighborhood cafés. They are more than just computer stores. Cyber cafés in the Philippines now provide people with the newest emerging web life style. Food, coffee and alcohol are as important as computers in the cyber café business. You can now do your shopping on cyber cafés while talking to your friends around the world over a cup of espresso.

  • Cyberia café, the world's first cyber café that opened in September 6,1994 in Whitefield Street in Central London, is already in the Philippines. The Philippine Cyberia is now in Makati City.
  • The first cyber café in Bacolod is called Cyberheads Café.
  • The University Internet Café located within the University of the Philippines Los Baños campus is the pioneer cyber café in Laguna.
  • Laguna, Baguio, Alabang, Laoag and La Union have their own Cyberspace Internet Cafes with satellite bandwidth, global messaging and radio modems.
  • A netizen club was formed at the at the Netcafe Internet Services in Lipa City, Batangas.
  • Even Boracay has its own Boracay Internet Café located in the center of the world’s famous white beach of the Boracay Island overlooking the South China Seas.
  • The R2Net Café connects Butuan City and the whole Caraga region to the cyber world.
  • The Cyberhaus in Cagayan de Oro City is already a member of the International Association of Cyber Cafes.
  • Universe CyberCafé has branches in Makati City and at the SM Mega Mall.
