The Girl Scouts of the Philippines Program

        The EIGHT-POINT CHALLENGE is the program of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines which embodies meaningful, responsive, relevant, contemporary and time-tested activities that would adequately prepare the Filipino girl and young woman of today to face and cope with the changing times.

        The Challenge of the World Community - unfolds the "wider world" to the girl and her unique place in this scheme of things. She is reminded that she is part of a huge international networking which includes the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the United Nations. She is also encouraged to participate in the global programs of WAGGGS and like-minded associations.

        As a citizen of the world and a member of the human race, she is challenged to promote international good-will and understanding and link up with Sister Guides and Girl Scouts from WAGGGS member-countries through the post box, cultural exchange, attendance in international events, and the like.
